I haven’t updated my website with new Chicago wedding photos in over a YEAR because of how busy I was shooting weddings and engagement sessions and planning my own wedding in 2022; but starting things off with Molly and Justin’s Bridgeport Art Center wedding feels like the perfect place to start!!! Every time I think of their wedding day at the Skyline Loft at Bridgeport Art Center, the word that comes to mind is joy. From their first look to their intimate and personal ceremony to all the photos from the day—family, wedding party, and the two of them—you could feel the love radiating off everyone in the room.

Two of my favorite quotes from Molly and Justin’s wedding day were Justin saying that Molly is “iconic” (she is! That dress!!!!) and their officiant saying that if most people use 43 muscles to smile, Molly must use all 600 muscles. Scroll down to see how she proved this to be true because she had the biggest + most joyful smile in every photo from the day. And take a peek at the sweetest review they left me after receiving their full wedding gallery, as well as their team of vendors that made their day a reality!

When my husband and I sat down to discuss what mattered most to us for our special day, photography was at the very  top of our list. This led to a research deep dive, we reviewed approximately 45 Chicago area photographer portfolios. We were immediately drawn to Marissa’s work. We loved the way she captured emotions you could feel. The vibrancy of the color. And how comfortable couples looked  in every shot she shared. We knew we wanted Marissa to be our photographer from her portfolio alone, but the moment we got on the phone with Marissa we knew she was THE ONE WE HAD TO HAVE. Her portfolio and talent is clear, what you must know about Marissa is what an incredible human being she is.

Marissa is professional, so responsive and she worked closely with us to ensure our vision would come to life. From helping us nail down the perfect spots for our engagement photos, to sweating every detail of our wedding day timeline, to ensuring we captured all the family photos we wanted. But even moreso, Marissa is the best hype woman in the world. The energy that she brings to your wedding day or your engagement photos is unbelievable. She felt more like part of our wedding party than a vendor. She made me feel so special and understood. She makes you feel seen, celebrated and you can tell that Marissa is GENUINELY happy to be part of your celebration.

Marissa and her team captured our wedding from beginning to end on 10/15/22 at the Sculpture Garden at Bridgeport Art Center perfectly. She found us a beautiful spot in Grant Park to have our first look and the perfect range of settings for our wedding party – from the lakefront to the most gorgeous fall scenery. But what I love most about our photo gallery is the emotion Marissa captured. We have an opportunity to live our favorite day again and again through these photos. We get to feel the love, the happiness, the tears, the joy and everything in between. This is the greatest gift Marissa could’ve given us. Hire Marissa immediately. We’ve already decided she will be our photographer for all our favorite moments for life!
