If it wasn’t obvious after looking at my portfolio, one of my very favorite venues to shoot weddings at in Chicago is Walden Chicago. So when Angelica (who I had a class with at the University of Iowa back in the day, go Hawks!!!) reached out about shooing their wedding there I was of course so excited. As their day got closer, the excitement grew even more as Ang talked me through what her and Tre wanted out of their wedding photos: less traditional poses and shots more editorial, artistic vibes.

I had so much fun doing just that on their wedding day; from their getting ready moments, to portraits at the Art Institute, to their “just marriage” portraits on the roof immediately following their ceremony, to the reception, and so much more.
