Because I don’t post a ton of Chicago maternity sessions to my social media accounts, I get asked a lot if I do them. I’m here to clarify that YES I do them and YES I love them!!!

There’s not much more special than getting to photograph a past wedding client again for their maternity or family photos. And one thing about Ang and Tre is they’re gonna slay every 👏🏼 single 👏🏼 time 👏🏼 I don’t do sunrise sessions too often (night owl, ya know lol), but when I do, I’m always reminded how magical they are: to be out and about before most of the city means an intimate feel to the session, and having the sun rising over Lake Michigan makes for the dreamiest, golden backlit light.Pair these two in the final month of expecting their first baby with that soft, glowy light from the sunrise and you have a maternity photographer’s dream!

I was also obsessed with both of Ang’s outfits for their session. She started in a soft green matching set that showed her baby bump perfectly, and then changed into a more casual look of unbuttoned jeans with a blue cardigan (blue for their baby boy they would welcome a few weeks later!).
