Madeline and Aidan’s North Avenue Beach engagement session was a first but hopefully not a last for me—not because of where we were (you know I love a North Ave session!) but because they ended it with them jumping in the lake!!!

Their entire session was so much fun outside of the lake leap too. We did some with the skyline and some down on the beach itself and I love getting the mix of each for couples (all in one location!). It’s hard to say the final minutes weren’t my very favorite though; the whole concrete beach cheered for them and afterwards some guy said to me “I didn’t think they were actually going to jump” hahaha. We bonded over loving a weekday morning swim in the lake in the summer, so they even convinced me to jump in too. Core memory as a Chicago engagement photographer for sure.
