Emii + Melvin | Seattle Pre-Wedding Photos

I’m VERY behind in blogging this, but wow. I can’t thank Emii and Melvin enough for flying me out to Seattle this past summer to shoot their pre-wedding photos at Lake Diablo.

These two are getting married in Vietnam in December of 2018; it’s traditional to get pre-wedding photos taken to be hung at the wedding party in Vietnam, so it only made sense to do them in their new home of Seattle, Washington. We had so much fun planning this shoot—and shooting it…and editing it…but the planning was honestly just as fun! Emii and Mel were in Chicago for a weekend, so we grabbed brunch at Bar Siena (plz order the Lobster Benedict if you ever go, holy delicious) and started planning. By the end of brunch, they were booking my flight out there and a hotel room for me!! I also had a blast sending Emii all the Lulu’s white dresses that I’ve always looked at (only $86 for the long sleeved lace dress she’s wearing in the first photos!! WHAT!). I’m not even engaged and I’ve considered ordering this dress to have in my closet for my own wedding hahaha.

Emii also left the sweetest review on my Facebook page after I sent over some previews:

Although the second location wasn’t available as we planned, she was extremely patient and still came up with creative ways to shoot. HOW SWEET. To top of the great weekend and my first trip to Seattle, and I was lucky enough to have my sister and BFF join me on the trip. We had so much fun playing tourist and drinking wine, so decided to make visiting a new place together an annual thing, so this was also the First Annual Girl’s Trip 🙂
